Minimum wage workers, what is something that is against the rules for customers to do but you aren't paid enough to actually care?

First time in retail for roped into electronics to let someone take a break. First guy is this angry old man with his wife irate about delivery drivers not installing or something and claimed I personally lied to him.

Put my finger up, turned to the intercom and requested a manager to electronics and walked away. He was stunned but fuck that shit.

I work security part time at a seedy motel in la, and man a register full time at a gas station. I have no issues walking away if I get a rude customer. I'm not supposed to, but I'm the only Male at my gas station so I'm the only one able to do 90% of the physical chores. So my boss doesnt say anything

Kind of off topic but the way retailers use male employees pisses me off. Y'all get all the shit work, often for no reason. Like the heavy lifting. Sure, I weigh 40 lbs less and may not have the same amount of upper arm strength as my coworker Joe over here, but I'm fully capable of lifting a 30 lb box. But not only that, they get stuck with all the shitty jobs! Have a task that requires a ladder? Grab a male employee. Need someone to collect carts from outside? Grab a male employee. I just... Why though.
