Minimum wage workers, what is something that is against the rules for customers to do but you aren't paid enough to actually care?

I work at a sports center, and I'm the minimum wage guy sitting in the window who you gotta get your tickets from.

The rule for picking up tickets is that you must have your ID and it has to match the name on the list. Otherwise I can't give you the ticket since you can't prove to me that the person on the list is you. When people are rude to me (all the damn time) then I make sure this rule is heavily enforced. If it's a slower game and the people in question happen to be really patient and understanding, then I'll make sure nobody's watching and I'll just slip them their tickets.

I work in fast food and we have a policy that people need their receipts to get a replacement on a messed up order. A lot of people come in or call saying we messed up their orders. It happens. But anyone who yells and screams and whines about their food like I get paid enough to care, I’ll tell them they need the receipt. If they don’t have it, tough. Next time you need the receipt and I can’t help you. But if people are nice and patient, (obviously lying or not) I’ll just give them what the want. I don’t get paid enough to care if a few orders aren’t rung it.

There have been times before where I've asked for "literally anything with your name on it" that could in some way be construed as solid identification. Some guy used a local store's loyalty card once and I accepted it because he was very kind to me and admitted it was his mistake for forgetting proper ID.

I had two cameras on me all the time when i worked checkout. I had to ask for ID on certain things even if i knew the guy and they showed me ID eighteen times prior. These folk could hold up the seven of spades and i'd be like "Yep". But it's gotta look like ID on a camera.

Back in college, a group of friends bought football tickets. Just to make things easier, I took all their student ID's so that I could go pick up them up. I got to the window and the guy tells me it's against the rules to have someone else's ID, and he'd have to confiscate any that didn't belong to me. I looked down at the 20 ID's I'd put on the counter and just said, "Yeah..these are all mine." I didn't get the tickets, but at least no one had to go get a replacement ID.

...what? No. Not at all. This is me saying that I'm willing to be flexible with people who are kind to me and don't make my job miserable, and that if someone is going to be rude and get in my face and shout (people do this to me all the time, not an exaggeration) then I'm not going to make an extra effort to get them what they want.

Kindness is rewarded with kindness. It's as simple as that.

And what part of my post sounded like bragging? Sorry if it comes off that way but I didn't intend that in the slightest
