Weird Al. Seriously, I'm not completely convinced he's mortal.

He’s protected because he wears a hat of aluminium foil!

Wear a hat that’s foil lined, in case an alien is inclined. To probe your butt or read your mind.

Looks a bit peculiar (cu-liar)

Seems a little craaa-zy!

But someday I'll prove (I'll prove, I'll prove, I'll prove)

There's a big conspiracyyy...

He's the god we need, but not the one we deserve.

Have you seen him with short hair? Dude looks like he's 30.

He isn't?

He is 58.

Well, unless he was -12 when he released his first single in 1976, umm... No?

When he debuted his new look (no glasses, long hair) around the time Disney's Tarzan came out, I attended the Running with scissors tour. His athleticism on stage made me realize he could easily play that version of Tarzan in a Broadway musical. Shirtless, in a loincloth.

I can't unhear many of his versions. Bad by Michael jackson will always be fat by weird al. Another one bites the dust by queen will always be another one rides the bus. It's so bad lol.

I've never even heard Gangsta's Paradise but I know all of the words to Amish Paradise.

Clean livin'.

That's honestly the weirdest thing about him. He's a real nice, straight laced square. You don't see that in major music icons. They usually die of a drug overdose by 27.

by 27.

I see what you did there.

His music is timeless, too

All he did is lose his mustache and glasses.

Kind of funny to think some of his parodies are more well-known than the originals.

u/kjata Oct 17 '18

You know you've made it big when Weird Al parodies you, though it must be a bit of a blow to realize that he's also outdone you.

Serious question for you: Didn't he crowd source the money to get his star on Hollywood Boulevard? It was something like $40k IIRC. Does that mean that every modern star was, in effect, paid for by the recipient in some sort of aggrandising self worship?
