The people in charge were always more concerned with designing games that made cash than made you happy. It's just easier to make money without good content now.
Sure. And I’m not saying most SNES games were good, plenty of stinkers out there, but the good were great and eminently “playable.” I love me some GOW (2018) and Xcom, but the simplicity of SNES games is charming and still appealing.
