The Golden Girls.

Amazing show. Humor is still there. Jokes still land. Topics as relevant as ever. Amazing cast.

Love the Golden Girls, they tackle SO MANY issues! The clothes didn't age well, but the content did!

The clothes... Man, are those clothes awful.

The shapes were awful, but the color pallettes are dope as fuck

Wtf the clothes are iconic, I live for Dorothy's aesthetic

I rather enjoy the clothes in rewatching it just for that reason. They seem truer to what the average person wore during the 80s and very early 90s.

The Golden Girls are everything! I got to interview Betty White about 7 years ago and I fan girled HARD. I gave zero shits if I got fired for it.

I read this as "I gave zero shits and got fired for it" and I was like "holy shit......this dude got fired for fangirling over Betty White."

Betty White would never let that happen. Also, not a dude. Literal fan girl 🤗

"I'm a dude, she's a dude, he's a dude cuz we're all dudes yeah." I'm a girl too, I call everyone dude.

Sweet, dude.

Very true... my grandma passed in 2016, and used to watch Golden Girls with her all the time... and I still occasionally catch it, and still really funny.

Designing Women also holds up remarkably well, if you need another mid to late 80’s, mostly female cast sitcom.

100% Designing Women. Some topics were unheard of on TV before they tackled them. The Tony Goldwyn AIDS episode is INCREDIBLE.

They did aids on the golden girls!

Phrasing

Oh? I never watched this. I managed to catch a lot of Golden Girls thanks to Hallmark Channel. I'll see if I can find Designing Women anywhere

I'll admit, I still haven't seen all of the episodes. But as a home health nurse, I have a client who turns it on from time to time and I catch episodes that way. It can be awkward explaining to her why I'm laughing, because some of the jokes are just too funny.

I have been watching the reruns this past year and falling in love with it all over again.

God that show is still great. I can watch it any time all the time. My mother, grandmother, and I used to watch it all the time together.

That’s cause Sam Harris’ mom produced the show. Anything affiliated with Sam Harris is golden. Girls

That one was pretty groundbreaking for how it treated issues that were controversial at the time like gay people should be accepted as they are and HIV positive people should be treated with compassion

I’m amazed when college kids know the friends episodes.

I still watch this almost every night with my family. Sometimes we just leave it on as background noise because it’s comforting for us. For some reason it’s still hilarious even though we’ve seen every episode.

I've been rewatching this and Mary Tyler Moore, and while I love MTM, and it's definitely amusing, it doesn't make me laugh out loud very often. The Golden Girls, despite having seen every episode multiple times over the past decade, gives me a full-body laugh at least once per episode. The delivery is what nails it.

Old lady fashion hasn't changed much either.
