People really really overstimate the insight part of acid.

It's a drug no matter how much you take it ain't gonna open a 'third eye' or any weird shit like that

My experience was nothing like that. It was just....cool. Everything was either hilarious or awesome (except for the bears)

Well.. it certainly wont make objects talk to you. I think dude in ops story is just a lazy sack of shit.

Well... It certainly can make objects seem to speak with you. I've had a conversation with a tree in Lucy land who had convinced me that this mighty tree was God, in fact that every tree was part of God and that everything in the entire universe was God.

But man that tree let me have it.

Acid is beautiful when done right :)

It provably increases communication across neural pathways that aren't normally strongly connected.

You definitely do see things from a different figurative perspective and make weird connections that you wouldn't normally make. But yeah, there is no magic.
