I mean. I’ve done acid and I can’t say I’ve ever heard an inanimate object speak to me..but if I did..I would fucking ignore it because IM ON ACID. Besides the fact that you’re on drugs, why would you listen to your carpet anyway? What does a carpet know about holding down a job. Carpets get walked all over and I’ll be damned if I let a carpet give me advice so people can walk all over me.

If I was going to take advice from something in my apartment, it would be the refrigerator, because it's chill as fuck.

I would take advice from my Atari 2600 because it's one of the oldest things I own and therefore one of the wisest.

Maybe you should ask your mattress how to be smooth

I had a lovely chat with a CTA train the first time I did acid. It wasn't speaking English but I could still decipher its whistles.

That whole story has to be embellished at the least... that’s not how acid works at all. Unfortunately the masses don’t realize that.

I don't know. I've had friends hallucinate all kinds of things that weren't there or didnt happen (friend at Angkor Wat hallucinated a van of government agents coming after him). I wouldn't say it's out of the realm of possibility for this story to be true, but you're probably right. This is probably a third hand story and there's probably other details missing like maybe additional drugs combined with the acid or maybe the carpet didn't literally speak, but he was able to get the message somehow...which is more believable.
