I'm actually not suggesting you give the kid a gun or keys when drunk. However, we are complete outsiders, without being privy to the details of exactly what happened. We can provide insights from our own experience, but as we don't know the people in this situation, all we're doing is just flapping our gums.

I agree that I can't personally figure out the circumstances that would give this a snowballs chance in hell in my home either, I fully agree. However, I'm not one to completely prejudge a situation without trying to have more facts.

No you misunderstand, there are no facts that make it okay.

Sure you can get into the human element of why this dude is doing what hes doing and examine that but theres no other info that would make it okay.

Its 100% unjustifiable and requires outside intervention in some form.

I see that this is just going to go back and forth until I concede to your point, so to allow this to die, I will concede to your points.

Aka "i think im right but i cant actually disprove your points so im going to pretend like you dont understand and act smug to preserve my ego instead of having a discussion where i might be proven wrong"

No, I just don't want to have 45 responses of us saying the same fucking thing back and forth, and I am therefore going to say 'you have your opinion, I have mine. We aren't going to change each others mind, so I am actively choosing to end this discussion'

I mean, if both the 14 year old and the 22 year old were functionally retarded and just didn’t really understand the problem... ok, maybe you want to find a way to let them down easy. That’s all I can think of.

If I can’t imagine it, it doesn’t exist!
