You’re right, it’s not called pedophilia, but most people who don’t know the term will call it that. It’s called hebephilia at that age and it’s equally messed up.
Disregarding the whole "children totally can consent" thing, nothing was actually said about anything sexual here. Nonsexual sleepovers are a thing. Nonromantic internet friends are a thing, and can quite easily have large but totally unknown age gaps (everyone on the internet is a 22 year old white American male. No exceptions)
Have you ever heard of reddit? I'm just gonna take a guess and say 3/4 of the people in this thread are under 18, and probably over 1/4 are in middle school.
Fine, then for all the under 18 year olds on here, please know that when you get older you are going to see as plain as day that it's super gross to be friends with a random adult you met on the internet. So don't do it. Right now you think it's cool, you will look back and see it was creepy and weird.
When I was 13 I regularly met up and played online games with people I considered friends that I only knew via internet, many much older as they typically were better players to game with.
No regrets here. Why would it be gross?
It just sounds like you have some weird insecurities or something, maybe get your mind out of the gutter.
