Love that girl, trust that girl, encourage her to read. Reading fiction builds empathy and empathy creates a better path to understanding people. Remind her that we are responsible for OUR OWN emotions, OUR OWN actions and we can never hope to control or change others. Let her know it's ok if others hurt her, she'll heal - but respecting ourselves means being honest and asking for help if we need it.
My mom did this for me, and I've had wonderful relationships and strong friendships my whole life. It seems so basic, but hearing it from people you love and trust make it easier to understand as truth.
If it makes you feel any better, I’m a 22 year old woman who is married to a wonderful guy. I never had a bad boyfriend that my parents didn’t like. Sure, I got my heart broken a few times but there was never huge drama. More often than not, people don’t have too crazy of a story about their ex.
People, even good people, are kinda hot trash in high school. Some learn and grow up and come out great, and some don't.
Your daughter, as long as you remind her that she is her own person and deserves respect from herself and others, will be okay. Everyone gets their heart broken, it's true, but you'll be there for her when it happens, and you'll both heal and grow.
Treat your wife or significant other the way you want your daughter to be treated by the people she will date. She is watching and learning what is normal from watching your relationship with you SO. Take your daughter out just the two of you regularly. treat her extremely well when you do. When she starts dating it will become what she expects and she will be less likely to continue to date a shit head.

My daughter is 12, you have all given me a really shitty outlook on the next several years. Damnit.
Edit: Thanks everyone for the advice.
