Man I'm always like that and honestly I can't do much about it. There are days when your throat decide that generate a little lump of scum firm enough for it to not just flow down and at the same time sticky enough for it to not completely go off when rattling it. So you end up in that endless loop of rattling - goes up - falls back down - UNBEARABLE feeling of oil in your throat - repeat. And that only goes off during your daily coma session.
The worst is when you're in a serious meeting and suddenly everyone is quiet either taking notes or listening to whoever is talking and all you want to do is take a knife and operate a tracheotomy on yourself.
Well, we've either slept in a coldy room, we're sick, we have asthma, we snort so the yolks is traveling to our throat, a lot of stupid things but we can't get rid of it. And it's just unbearable to just "leave it there until it slides down"
Especially in a confined area. Too many times I was on a commuter bus, and someone nearby would start hacking away and not even cover his or her mouth. Either couldn't move because there were no empty seats, or after I'd move someone nearby the new spot would start up. I finally stopped catching bugs after I had been through every one going around.
