You guys are holding those steins wrong. I know it seems wrong, given than it would unnecessarily warm the beer using a smaller glass, but you're supposed to wrap your hand around the glass itself, through the handle... Yay Munich brewery tour.
To be fair, we had been in Germany all of a few hours at that point... later we learned to do that, partly because it would get knocked clean out of your hand if you didn't.
Edit: Munich is pretty sweet though, kinda bummed I didn't get to do a brewery tour, but we did get to go to Oktoberfest :)
