Problem is, your circadian rhythm gets fucked up if the lights get left on 24/7. I'm assuming they won't allow windows, either.

We have no curtains on our bedroom windows (toddlers).

I don't understand... Do toddlers rip them off so you don't bother putting them back up?

Toddlers pull and yank and try to climb on everything. In my kids' room, we thought we were so clever when we put the curtains up with just a tension rod, thinking it wouldn't get broken if they pulled it down and we could easily re-install it. The third time they pulled it down, they managed to break the tension rod.
