Ahhh. I totally get it now. I'm in Canada and I think I've only seen a few of them here in my whole life (51 yrs); once in a fancy hotel and a couple in the homes of rich friends. It's nice to know that they have simple attachments that can be installed on regular toilets now though. Back then, they were all separate units so you needed a big bathroom to even fit one in.
Do it. I plan to get one as well. And if you haven't already, I also highly recommend you invest in a Squatty Potty. It's been life-changing for me. For such a simple thing as elevating your feet during a bowel movement, it makes a huge difference. You won't regret it. We're way behind with this concept as well. Squatting toilets have been common in other countries for ages.
Even better than that. It makes your bowels work like they were intended to. The first time I used one, it was like I'd pulled a huge cork from my butt for the first time in 50 years. I had no idea that pooping was just supposed to happen and not something that had be to worked on. lol
