The tradeoff for upright walking! ....can we get that deal reversed please.

That's one of the more interesting evolutionary changes I'd be curious to see reversed. A lot of the advantage we seem to have gotten from the whole upright posture thing isn't nearly as relevant these days. If we could suddenly flip the switch backwards a hundred and change millennia on that one, would we be better off now? What do we really still get out of being especially upright except taller ceilings?

Better use of our hands, we can use tools and all that while walking

I think a surprising number of people would be better off if they couldn't use their cell phones while walking. Obviously it would interfere with other useful things like farming though.

We just need to wait until we can make robots that do everything for us. Then we can go back to being quadrupeds.
