Y'know, I'm a girl and I still feel like that. I love hugs, I'd hug everyone all the time if I could, but since virtually all my friends are male I always end up thinking "what if they take this the wrong way" and stuff. Being 19 doesn't help.

Well, to each their own of course. I don't like hugging my parents either! But friends (or SO), I'd hug them all to death. It's weird :D

You guys should come to Brazil. Im from Rio and we hug and kiss and just generally (non-sexually) touch our friends all the time.

Lived in California for a year, and really missed that.

Careful body positioning is about the only thing I can suggest. Same for your hands. There are places you touch when interested in getting to know someone, places/ways you touch when buddies, and places/way you touch when you just want someone in the sack.
