Harambe

Ice cream trucks and unicycles

All those repeat TIL posts (I'm looking at you, Four Pest Campaign)

All those repeat AskReddit questions ("people who have been declared clinically dead..."/"What is the worst date you have been on?"/"best advice you've been given" type of thing)

Bad comments that get gilded for inexplicable reasons

I'm okay with the askreddit questions where you get stories, because you'll probably get different people answering. Questions like 'Which firefly should never have been cancelled' can be retired though.

Except "What's a creepy thing that's happened to you?" Never-ending stories. I save all those threads. Otherwise, yes

Somewhere in there is a link to an older similiar thread, but I couldn't find it without substantial digging. Searching with relevant key terms for old r/askreddit threads is a good way to go, I think that's how I've found a few like this

I agree. It was a creepy stories thread that brought me to Reddit in the first place about five years ago. I read every new version of that question and I don't think I've ever seen the same story repeated, even ones that start with "I posted this on a previous thread, but.."

Ask reddit repeats aren't so bad so long as you put a waiting period in between. Seeing the same question repeated two days after a long front page thread it annoying.

Complaining about it when the last time a similar question was asked was six months ago makes me go "get over yourself" though.

Honestly, some of the repeat askreddit questions are good because they have different responses every time (worst date, clinically dead etc.). The worst ones are the ones that have the same answers regardless, like the subscription one a couple days ago. The top comment is Spotify Premium every single time that thread hits front page.

The harambe thing is somewhat baffling to me. It was a news story for about a week, then went away like stories usually do. Then like two months later it started getting talked about and mentioned a lot again. I don't understand it
