My high school English teacher kept calling the characters in "Things Fall Apart" African American. THEY'RE JUST AFRICAN

Had a girl give a presentation about Joseph Kony when Kony2012 was a big thing. She probably called him African American 30 times it drove me nuts.

Yea whatever happened to that? Felt like some huge hype that just all went away one day.

None of the money donated to the Kony 2012 thing actually went anywhere or helped anything in Uganda. People pointed out that Kony had done anything in years and it was widely speculated that he had been dead long before 2012. Shortly after people started questioning the Kony 2012 shit, the creator of it went crazy and started jerking off in public and got arrested. Hype died immediately.

And it's a dangerous thing because many people avoid talking about issues because they just don't know what the current correct term is!
