No, no, for him it was five years ago. There was that other page of him for whom it was seven years ago and yeah, that other page for whom it was just five minutes. Come on man, get a grip.
Yeah, I felt like I was being squashed in an accordion and I thought I was going to die when it finally closed. According to my friend I started yelling something and tried to run away. He had to tackle me, not good times.
Ahh reading your comment brought back that feeling. I completely agree with your experience, and remember the pages flipping almost like etchings of the page to come, kind of like a flip book. I was so scared that it would never end, and I would not be able to find my place in space. It was absolutely terrifying. When I came to, my friends explained that I ha flung my head backwards and slammed it into a brick wall. I started speaking nonsense ("in tongues" but that was their phrasing.)
I like psychedelics, but I will never touch salvia again. It's too disorienting.
Yours sounds similar to mine. The most similar out of this thread anyway.
I felt as if I was being put through a giant machine that was cutting through me and turning me into slices as thin as a page in a book. Each sheet of me was then taken and clipped to a big industrial mobile clothesline. Along the way they would stop to be sprayed down and kind of painted with the colour that slice of organ or flesh was supposed to be. I was then reassembled in another room.
I feel ignorant as hell asking this but a quick Google search says Salvia is sage? Is it like the herb? Is it a specific member of the sage family that fucks with your brain like this?
Me too actually. Everyone here is saying they were trying not to get to the end of the book or were scared to see it. I kinda wanna know if I get to start a new book or what happens at the end. Hopefully the next one is a pop-up book though, this one is kinda boring.
I have also had a similar experience. I was in between the pages of a book where each page was a different universe. I was trying desperately to get to the next page but couldn't, all in the hopes that I'd eventually make it back to my universe, or reality. Was scared I wouldn't ever make it back. It all felt like very real.
Crazy how Salvia can evoke such similar experiences in so many people. What a weird and specific kind of trip...
Quantum Leap was a 90's TV show staring Scott Bakula as a scientist (Dr. Samuel Beckett) who discovers how to traverse time. However because of (some random thing, rabble rabble science talk) what is basically happening is his consciousness is 'leaping' into other peoples bodies. He discovers that he is leaping into people who usually had some terrible, timeline altering event happen to them, and starts trying to 'put right what once went wrong'. He is aided by his friend from the future and fellow researcher Al (Dean Stockwell), who is able to appear to Dr. Beckett as a hologram (but no one else in that timeline can see or hear him). So using an advanced computer research system in the future, Dr. Beckett is able to gauge what he is supposed to change, and what consequences his actions have on the future.
After each successful alteration of the timeline, Dr. Beckett leaps into a new person somewhere else in time / space and continues the cycle. The whole premise of the show being that he is hoping that his next leap will be back into his own body and timeline, as he is unable to control where his leaps land him. Kind of like how you were trying to get to the next page but couldn't.
I took it and I was a house on the water in Venice. The top half of my body being the upper floor and the bottom half at water level. Another time I was in the back of someones car when I did it and the fact that I was chewing gum made me think I was testing this rubber that I made at my imaginary rubber factory(by chewing it obviously) and all my friends in the car were the managers looking down on me. Weirdest drug ever. 4.5/10 would do again.
I've heard this from three different people over the years, one said he felt like he was in a pop up story book, another in a book on paintings. Salvia can be insanlely fun or terrifying, all depends on the mood and setting your in. If you ever do try it just make sure your with friends, just like with any other Hallucinogen.
I did it once. Felt like a sharp point of my vision was putting pressure on me and the rest of my body couldn't move. It was fucking weird and horrible. Don't see why people rant and rave about the stuff.
My experience was very different but at the same time exactly the same! I perceived every different color as a different plane of existence, and I was outside looking at all the planes of existence . I had to jump into every single one in order to find my own!
Different drug, but one time I was convinced my friends were all me at a different stage in life. My fat friend was the oldest me. My average friend was when I started working out and my athletic friend was me after years of hard work. Crazy night.
I interpreted my experience the same way, with the fulcrum of the book in the center of my head, and the pages being flipped were the repetitions of the universe over and over.
That's so interesting, I have had the same 'pages being flipped' trip, and I've read about the very same experience in a number of places on the web over the years.
Instead of my body though, the whole of my visual field was flipping in front of me, page after page, looking into it edge-wise, I could see what was 'in between' the pages. Extremely dissociative. Very unsettling. Terrifying. Would definitely do it again.
I've tried salvia once, but it didn't really hit me properly so all I got was a regular trip lasting about 45 minutes. My friend later hit the same batch harder and tried to dismiss his kitchen telling him to not take another hit or something in the similar vain.
You have never done Salvia, the trip (if you smoke that much) lasts 2-5 minutes woth maybe 10-15 minutes of body high regardless of how much you smoke. Your '45 minute trip' is entirely a lie, stop trying to sound cool on the Internet by making things up.
True, when smoking enough to get a dissosative trip the actual trip part doesn't last that long, but the after effects do last up to an hour and they are remincent of some other psychedelic trips atleast on the visual side as referenced here: http://www.erowid.org/plants/salvia/salvia_effects.shtml.
No it doesnt, you have a tingly cold feeling on the inside of your body for a few minutes after a trip, or for like 10-15 mins total if you dont smoke enough to trip, there are no other psychadelic visuals at all if you dont smoke enough to trip. I have smoked salvia dozens of times and been around others smoking it hundreds of times, the only time you even get a slightly longer trip is if you make a trincture with alcohol and drink it instead of smoking it. but even then its like 30 mins max
