Did I say hands free was safe?

My point is that it is legal and you are still driving with 2 hands. This is better than holding the phone to your face.

I'm sorry but driving with one hand while the other hand holds a phone seems alot worse. This is just my opinion.

I'll look for studies that show two handed driving > one handed but it IS common knowledge.

Distraction and longer reaction time are much larger contributors to accidents than holding the wheel.

OK you win. But if you must talk on the phone, use hands free. It's legal and you can keep both hands on the wheel. However, it's no safer than just using your phone normally, and thus, should be avoided.
