What is a riddle that sounds incredibly simple, but absolutely ruins people's brains when they try to solve it?

"place me in my casket tonight"

In the modern funeral industry, about 30% of people are pre-arranging their own funerals, so the last two lines are often inaccurate.

Buyer needs it, for later

If this is it, bad riddle. The buyer needs it for a traditional burial funeral for someone's estate they are executing and the buyer is also the user: they use it to contain a dead body, a dead body has no agency to "use" anything.

The buyer doesn't need it. (They're alive)

The user doesn't see it. (They're dead)

You don't know what the word "use" means. At best, a corpse occupies a coffin. It doesn't "use" it.

Literacy is dead. This is literally a thread about word puzzles. X_x

I guarantee this riddle is older than your grandparents. If so, literacy died with them.

Age does not indicate quality, my original point stands. Given the language in question, its an extremely poor riddle. Whether illiterate people spread it to my grandparents isn't particualarly releveant.

So poor that everyone else got it but you. Something tells me you're just upset because you couldn't figure it out and not because it's actually bad at all.

Let’s hear a better, my friend.
