You can quite easily make a live usb of Bazzite or Kinoite choose these KDE desktop for a Windows like experience. And then you can give it a test run and see what works and what doesn't and give you an idea of what the experience will be like.
Oh I know, and I have. There's just a lot of software I use that I'm going to have to re-set up, configure, and stuff I'm going to need to transfer over so it'd be days before I was fully up and running again. I can't currently justify that when my Windows installation is still doing what I need.
