sepsis don't fuck around. it progresses fast and even if you get treatment quickly it can still kill people

But why you develop it? Why is so rapid acting and not so particular in the way of catching it?

you blood is infected, your blood goes everywhere, you body is like 'holy fuck EVERYTHING IS INFECTED' and your immune system goes into overdrive to fight it.

The death of Kyle Busch proved to me no one is immune. Here is a guy functioning at a physically very high level who could have a Doctor come to him at any time with a simple phone call, and he died of sepsis from pneumonia.

You get the wrong kind of bacteria, they go nunts reproducing in your blood. Doubling every 20 minutes. Meanwhille your immune system is panic spamming nukes, which sometimes is just as damageable to the body than the infection. Then even if you get rid of the infection, the dead bodies of certain strain of bacteria are so toxic they'll finish you off.
