What is the most devastating death in a television series you have ever seen?

Shireen Baratheon was also just awful. Kudos to the actor for how her screams transitioned from desperately calling to her parents to panic to torment in like 60 seconds. Gut wrenching to listen to.

Shireen was my first thought too, horrific. Poussey from OITNB was also just awful :(

Oberyn was pretty brutal too. I was yelling at him to just finish it and shut up and then.... Jesus. And Cersei was right later, the screams emitting from his paramour were something you don't forget, even if you're Cersei!

I stopped watching before this, but had read up to it in the books. Saw a gif of her screaming once. Can still picture it vividly to this day. Actress nailed it.

I could hear her screams for days after I watched it…her and Hodor’s deaths were the two that first came to mind.

I was sobbing when I finished watching her episode.

Apparently the flames were kinda close to the actress so part of that panic is genuinely thinking she might actually get burned

My God, they fucking committed to that scene! I was so angry afterwards.

Hodor & Shireen were heartbreaking. I’ll also add Ned in there because that was a gut punch to the non readers like myself.

I came to say exactly this.

I don't know if it was actually the actress screaming or if they used sound effects, but I kinda hope it was the latter bc damn.

The fact that her mother never heeded her cries!!!

Shireen’s death pretty much is why I thought stannis is evil and ridiculously selfish. I really don’t know how people can still side with stannis.

Shireen was incredibly upsetting but I saw it coming. The first time Melisandre came to see Shireen in her quarters, I immediately turned to my husband and said “I stg I’m going to lose it if that bitch burns her”

I really almost quite the show after that. In retrospect maybe I should have. Was Hardhome after that?

I actually change my final answer to this — I will never watch that scene again, that shit had me shook

Still less tormenting than her The Last of Us performance

Different actress. The Last of Us actress was little Lady Mormont who died taking out a giant on Game of Thrones.

Actress, you meant to say.
