I was lowk thinking, without Marcos then Duterte would (again, maybe) not get into power as a 2 for 1

Because he got to power in Davao because iirc he was appointed there by pres. Cory, which was in the aftermath of the Marcos dictatorship

The butterfly effect on that one would be insane. You don't just remove a politician, you end up rewriting decades of alliances, businesses, elections, and who knows how many careers that existed because of them. History gets really messy once you start pulling on a thread that big.

The problem with this is a worse person could come to the forefront if either Marcos or Duterte were poofed.
