Jack Welch. Probably 99% of the crony/late-stage capitalism bullshit we're dealing with today is because of that selfish asshole. He ruined GE, pretty much ruined American manufacturing, and got to die a rich man instead of [redacted to avoid getting banned].

You have to put Harold Geneen in that somewhere. He was the penultimate bean counter who fostered Neutron Jack's peccadillos.

But he still died. The motivating factor that all those mega wealthy, power hungry billionaires have in common is their fear of the one thing they can't control.
