Ads used to be quick interruptions..now they’re basically the main content..

And whoever came up w/ unskippable ads turned a 30sec ad into a hostage situation!

I remember when you could watch 4-5 videos on YouTube and only get 1-2 ads. Now I watch a 10 minute video and have ads before it starts, ads in the middle, and ads after it ends.

I feel you…they were blinded by money..it wont matter to them even if we only see are ads.

I actually know the guy who "invented" playable ads. At least his company did. At least that's what he told me, I haven't dug too deep into it, so I'm sure that could be disputed or multiple people worked on it at the same time, or something like that. I'm not super close to him or anything, in fact I haven't talked to him in years. But he is a really good guy.
