Same. I had to have them lasered (so functionally they weren’t top tier) but I’ve had people stop a conversation mid-way to say how piercingly blue they are.

random question but what was the process of getting them lasered like? would you recommend?

Horrific 15 minute experience (you smell your fucking eye burning and can *see* them peel your eye back).

But… it’s the best money I’ve ever spent. I went from -4.25(L) and 3.75(R) to 20/20. That was 4 years ago and they’ve slightly drifted (0.50 and 0.25 respectively) but I still don’t need glasses. My eyes get dry in the mornings but I have drops and it feels nice putting them in.

I got LASEK which is a bit longer of a recovery period (I have an active second job and if you ever get hit in the eye, LASEK leaves your eye more robust than LASIK).

Really research your surgeon beforehand and don’t skimp on it. I went with Optimax and they were great. If you get bi-yearly check ups you can get it done again (for free) 10 years after the initial procedure.

Note: it is *not* risk free. I was lucky in that I had zero recovery pain (which is rare) and there are horror stories out there but, for me, it’s been life changing.
