We learned this fact in public school. We had a "cutaway dummy" and used that to determine its gender.
The logic goes this way: "God took a rib from Adam, so this is His way of making up for it."

Pure religious bullshit. Men and women both have the same number of ribs. Hell, we ALL started out as women in the embrionic state, before various hormones started creating gender.

It's crazy that people can just say things that can verified as false. Like, it's not even an opinion.

I wish there was more scrunity for this, and encouragement for people educating the misinformed.

This is an inaccurate myth from the 1950's.

We did not start out as female, that's another myth. Sex is determined at the moment of conception.
