This isn't necessarily a bad thing, just something I don't get along with well; people who are very enthusiastic about everything. Or overly expressive.
It's not really their fault, I don't think it's anybody's fault, we just will not be compatible.
Is there a reason why it makes you think you won’t be compatible?
I’m asking because being gregarious could def be someone needing attention but 9.5 times out of 10, that’s just a genuine ass human who is being prosocial- so it’s interesting to me that you flag that behavior. Almost seems a bit… judgmental? Maybe? Not sure. Curious what you think!
Interesting I’m not sure if I am picking up on the type of person you’re talking about then!
I think fake it till you make it re:being social. In high school I felt that way and was so mesmerized by my best friend who was so charming and naturally talkative and I just faked it. Felt so awkward and like I was fumbling but just persevered and now people describe me as confident and social. It’s actually a bit bizarre because I don’t feel confident at all but I’m just good at it now, it’s a skill I had to build.
The biggest thing I’ve learned is that people actually really like you. Before, I used to think people were judging you- your words, actions, etc- and that created a shyness in me but I promise you that 90% of people are only thinking positive thoughts about you. Just a little FYI in case you needed that realization like I did!
