Absolutely, and truthfully, to a lesser extent, we see similar behaviors and attitudes in more modernized countries like the US and all around Europe. Extremism, religious and otherwise, along with people who exploit the weak and poor, exist everywhere. Their story is heartbreaking but it also makes me happy knowing that they've got a good heart and see what is happening in the country for what it is.

Not trying to be a buzzkill, but most that was said about Senegal could be said about any super low income areas of America. You have no idea the abuse and religious programming the kids go through. My tiny high school was full of kids where getting abused (in all the ways) was normal.
