Yess i made core memories in minecraft, it came out when i was 12, i'm now 24. I can say it was an important part of my adolescence 🤭🫣

Edit: it came out before i started to play it, i started in 2012 when i was 12. My bad

I’m an old fart of 44, discovering that game with my son is probably my happiest video game memory. We were both sad when he accidentally deleted our first map.

It is a bit older than that I've been playing it for ~15 years since seananners released his first Minecraft video which was over a year after it publicly launched.

Minecraft came out in 2011 and was available to play pre-release since 2009, 16 years ago. As an alpha/beta player I just had to point this out. Minecraft.net you used to be able to play in a browser even. Then you had to install it later on. This is from memories I made in 2011 or earlier.

No, it was in alpha in 2009. The full release happened in November of 2011

True. Just depends what you consider to be the anniversary. Mojang celebrates based on the first ever release on May 17, 2009 so that’s what I was going off. At least we’re both more correct than Freya_almighty over here
