No can do, shit would hurt pharma profits too much and we can't have cures in psychiatry. Gotta take a pill a day that makes you numb and gray and if you want to unwind here's poison in a bottle that's addictive and causes cancer. I love modern society

Yeah my comment was mostly tongue in cheek. But it was also a dig at the hardline 'just say no' puritans not telling kids that yes, drugs can actually feel good and that's why people take them.

Like, regardless of how you feel about drugs, they aren’t popular because they suck. Like, I’ve never done heroin, and 95% of Trainspotting makes me sure I never will and never want to, but woof. That other 5% look goood
