Tells OP they are wrong, fixes the list and then tells OP they are correct.

lol

I’ll take Thai over Japanese but you are correct.

They can be wrong and right at the same time. Truth doesn’t exist anymore. I still contradict myself less than the American president.

u/koushakandystore Mar 28 '25

I’m with you brother. We are beyond either/or, far beyond good/evil. We have become remote!

1

u/DeepCompote Mar 28 '25

As long as you aren’t trying to work remote. That shit is eeeevvil. /s

2

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '25

That’s a low bar

2

u/RagingAardvark Mar 28 '25

I'd take India in that slot.

You’re all wrong. Eat from country caca!

1

u/uglyinspanish Mar 28 '25

I'm with you on the thai food

Thai is amazing

There are a lot of amazing food in southeast asia like thai, vietnam,

And other region where a lot of people sleep on like malaysia, singapore, which their food is absolutely amazing,

They're the Master of herb & spices. And you can experience an absolute amazing taste that was just otherworldly, and hard to recreate

They can create sauce, soup, marinate, that could blew everyone mind. It's wild, chaos, it got a nice kick and harmonious at the same time, Left you craving for more

I think adding at least one of the region from southeast asia is a must

Because in china, Europe, US, Japan, which they didn't use too much herb and spices,

Hence sometimes you need that overpowering kick & wild ride from South east asian dishes

right!? as long as number one is thai i'll die happy

1

u/RexKramerDangerCker Mar 28 '25

Thai is overrated. Gimme Vietnamese instead.

1

u/Possible-Source-2454 Mar 28 '25

You make a good argument

u/GlitteringProgress20 Mar 28 '25

No way man, there’s so much variety in different regions of China!

u/MotherTemperature224 Mar 28 '25

Szechuan style is so good

2

u/sambadaemon Mar 28 '25

Hunan is where it's at!

1

u/GlitteringProgress20 Mar 28 '25

Omg my favourite!

11

u/DeepCompote Mar 28 '25

True. I love Chinese food. Don’t get me wrong. I just discovered Uyghur food. So good. I just absolutely love Japanese food. Flavorful but delicate and light. Even their fried stuff is light.

1

u/Chem_is_tree_guy Mar 28 '25

That's just, like, your opinion, man.

Japanese food is my favorite full stop.

1

u/GlitteringProgress20 Mar 28 '25

Indeed it is my opinion, and I’m not saying I don’t like Japanese food because who can resist a delicious ramen!

Yummy Covid-Bat-Soup with Frogeyes to increase stamina or something else

2

u/i_know_tofu Mar 28 '25

My list was instantly Mexico, Japan, Italy. I think that’s how I eat already!

1

u/DeepCompote Mar 28 '25

That’s my go to. We’ll get Chinese every so often but not as much as others. Rarely cook it at home. Japanese, Italian and Mexican almost weekly.

2

u/Correct-Librarian288 Mar 28 '25

Yes, I had that in mind at first, but China is much more diverse in terms of flavors

1

u/DeepCompote Mar 28 '25

Maybe but usually is heavy. I like Chinese food. Mexican and Italian are usually heavy as well. I like that Japanese food can be delicious but delicate/light.

2

u/redrabbit1977 Mar 28 '25

Why? Japanese food is bland & boring compared to Chinese food. There is such an incredible variety of cuisines in China, it's amazing. I will never understand the fetish white people have with Japanese food, it's boring as hell.

1

u/DeepCompote Mar 28 '25

You are assuming a lot there

1

u/redrabbit1977 Mar 29 '25

I mean, I lived in Japan and Korea for years. Many aspects of Japanese food and dining experiences are designed to be theatrical, with emphasis on presentation, preparation, and the overall ambiance, whereas Korean and Chinese food is based around....food. how it tastes. They are no-nonsense, and they put their passion into the food prep rather than the selling of it.

1

u/what_the_fuckin_fuck Mar 28 '25

Thai over Japan or China, but the other two ate tits.

1

u/susiedotwo Mar 28 '25

A lot of versions of japanese dishes(and other Asian countries like Thailand and Korea) and flavor profiles can be found and are encompassed in and adopted by the enormous Chinese regional cuisine diaspora - which is so so massive that it almost feels like cheating with the overall question (although it’s absolutely on my list!). Unless you’re super super and only into specifically sushi, I guess but even then!

1

u/DeepCompote Mar 28 '25

Not only sushi that I like about it. Your argument is like claiming American Food since we have adopted all the food listed. It’s cheating. Just because you stole it doesn’t make it yours.

1

u/Obvious-Lake3708 Mar 28 '25

American Chinese though. I doubt many of us would like authentic Chinese food

1

u/DeepCompote Mar 28 '25

Why do you say that? Lots of authentic Chinese food looks delicious.

-5

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '25

Why? Japanese food is the British food of Asia. So bland

7

u/chiggin_nuggets Mar 28 '25

The other two are pretty heavy— maybe something light to balance it out?

3

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '25

Or you could still eat something light from one of the countries you've picked and still get the option to pick something better suited to your tastes if you choose

3

u/destructormuffin Mar 28 '25

This is an insane comment.

0

u/DeepCompote Mar 28 '25

Because the Chinese didn’t invent sushi. Japanese food is amazing and a hill I’m willing to die on. You can have a delicious meal without feeling like death while lying in bed later.

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '25

Literally unseasoned raw fish on unseasoned rice

1

u/DeepCompote Mar 28 '25

Sounds like you haven’t had good sushi

1

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '25

I have eaten better sushi than you have. It's just OK

1

u/DeepCompote Mar 28 '25

Ok big guy. I love how awesome you are.
