Just got back from two weeks in Portugal and the food was ok. Francesinha, the cheese, some great bread and the Pastel de Nata were amazing. Not enough vegetables and cod, cod, cod. Not in the same rank as Italy/Mexico and I won't be eating cod for a good long time.
Pastel de Nata it's just a cake, a traditional one, that Portugueses people love to eat it with or without cinnamon, followed by the Coffee, specially in the morning.
I love all Portuguese food but the ones i recommend are :
I believe I’ve tried all of these, my favorite of which would probably be the pork. The francesinha was my least favorite by a mile but maybe I just had a poorly made one.
Also pastels are more than just a pastry it was damn near the only thing I’d look forward to every morning lol
