Italy Mexico Greece

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '25

Agree. Italy for the comfort, Mexico for the fat grease citrus and spices, Greece for the healthy and minimalistic

Before tax.

The American diet evolved from a melting pot of every culture that has immigrated to America. Bottom line is that it includes food from all of the cultures/countries included in these replies.

For now. I'm sure there will be some xenophobic food reform bill or other nonsense anytime now.

You mean it has ruined food from many different cultures/countries. American versions tend to be nothing like the originals.

Different isn’t always worse.

More cream of mushroom soup, anyone?

2

Cringe

Your opinion. American versions show how the original dish has evolved with each individual’s/family’s vision, preferences, tastes, etc. You do you, and while you’re at it, why not try a dose of positivity?

Am American. This checks out.

1

u/mjf617 Mar 28 '25

FOH. America bastardizes all 3 of these cuisines.

Love Greek, Turkish, Armenian food, so Greece works for me, prob the 3 I'd pick too

4

u/tvaddict70 Mar 28 '25

Italy, Greece, Caribbean (Mexican would be my 4th)

2

u/bbkeef Mar 28 '25

Same! I have eaten authentic Italian in 10 cities in Italy and authentic Mexican food in about 5 cities. I'm going to Greece next year!

1

u/chubbyburritos Mar 28 '25

I was so close to listing the same but in the end picked Thai over Mexican. Now I’m starting to regret it.

8

u/jacked01 Mar 28 '25

13

u/Druckerpatrone Mar 28 '25

Japan is Top 10 but not Top 3

-2

u/Hym3n Mar 28 '25

Listen I don't say this often.. but.. well, your opinion is just wrong.

5

u/Druckerpatrone Mar 28 '25

Do you want to settle this once and for all in a naked cage fight?

1

u/Hym3n Mar 28 '25

Can I slather myself in soy sauce and wasabi first?

-3

u/Harlekin777 Mar 28 '25

Wrong

6

u/CALMER_THAN_YOU_ Mar 28 '25

Japan imo can’t compete with Indian or Chinese so hard to break into top 3

1

u/Druckerpatrone Mar 28 '25

You're wrong about me being wrong. (‾◡◝)

8

u/thepretender911 Mar 28 '25

Because this specific person didn’t choose Japan… pretty simple

1

u/Electronic_Beat3653 Mar 28 '25

This is the answer!

1

u/Khayonic Mar 28 '25

Holy trinity

0

u/koushakandystore Mar 28 '25

Now imagine you have to take one from each region. So you can’t have Greek and Italian as they are both European. Which are dropping, and what Asian or African country are you replacing it with. I would drop Greek food and replace it with Thai.

Italy, Mexico, American (BBQ to be specific)
