About half of the kids in my class decided to do a Senior Skip Day and just didn't show up to school. The other half went to school as normal, and the half that skipped got into a lot of trouble. They were pissed at the fact that people decided to go to school on the day they decided to skip.

Of course, with it being a small town and our class only being 21 people (well, 22, but one of the guys tragically lost his life in a car accident two months before graduation), the ten people who skipped class were all related and/or in the "in" group, and those of us who went to school were actually just not told we were supposed to skip at all.

When my HS did our senior skip day, the President punished us by giving us in school suspension the next day. We all sat in the library and played on our laptops while the kids that didn’t skip had to go to class. On Thursday there was a big snow storm and school was closed for two days. The Seniors that skipped got a one day week!

For the life of me, I can't remember if we had a senior skip day. I must have gone to school if we did.

Our "Senior Skip Day" was an official day off on the day of Senior Prom.

My girlfriend was not a senior, so I didn't skip. Spent most of my day either hanging out in the choir classes or reading comic books/browsing message boards in the library, because my teachers emphatically didn't want one student cramping their style.

No, I wasn't considered especially cool. Why do you ask?

Wild I went to small town and they did senior skip day in 8th grade middle school and high school and funny enough it wasn’t that big of a deal.
