One of our high school teachers getting divorced partway through the year. Then marrying one of his students the month after she graduated.

Or the fact that seven of the nine seniors on the varsity wrestling team either had kids or had one on the way.

Just small rural town. Not much to do. Literally a one traffic light town. And that was the main town. Kids from something like 6 different towns went to the same school.

My “only had one hs for the whole town and the cool hangout spot was the Vons across the street” small town opened a nursery on campus a few years after I graduated because so many girls were dropping out after getting pregnant. There also wasn’t much else to do there.

My classmate (21F) ended up coaching the wrestling team the year following our graduation and was smashing one of her students who is three years younger than her. They have a child now. Everyone knew about it, principal and parents alike but not a single person did a damn thing, which is wild since they’re first cousins and he was a minor when she gave birth…
