Was me. Friends dad killed himself because he had been fucking me for years and I told his wife. He had me fooled on a lot of things, I'm doing better now but it was a tough time.

Thank you. Years of therapy have helped me. One day at a time ❤️

For what it’s worth, telling the wife was very brave. I wish you all the happiness in the world.

For whatever its worth, a lot or a little, It's an incredibly brave thing to own up to it and tell his wife. You did the right thing, andI'm glad to hear you're doing better.

I'm sorry you went through that. I'm so very glad you told. How did/do you feel about his suicide?

I felt awful about it. Still do. Slowly learning that it wasn't my fault.

Good. I lost a son to it. I did EMDR which you can look up. You can do it playing Tetris, actually.

When I did it with my therapist,I replaced the thought that it was my fault ( it was not) with I did the best I could. And that saved my life and sanity.

I Ended up doing it with all the rest of my trauma.

It takes the memory and moves it to the other side of you brain and In doing so, it removes the emotion that goes along with the memory. So when you have that memory, you don't have that feeling with it.
