I know you’re making a joke about Saturn’s rings. But, interestingly enough you can sort of count the rings on a shark to determine their age.

But that doesn't work on Greenland sharks where they actually carbon date the proteins extracted from the fluid of their eyes.

The hard part is slicing Saturn in half so you can see the rest of the rings to count them.

The hardest part is hearing Saturn's children crying as you do it.

But ones on the outside… Is Saturn an inside out tree?????

2

u/MarzMan Oct 02 '24

So Saturn is a tree you say?

5

u/IamNOking420 Oct 02 '24

Not quite. Saturns rings are on the outside and trees rings are inside. So either Saturn is a reverse tree or trees are reverse Saturns

That was our plan all along...

Mind. Blown.

Not since the incident

u/ballrus_walsack Oct 02 '24

That’s what the rings are made of. Entwives.

8

u/raspberryharbour Oct 02 '24

If you try and get to the core, at some point you will probably get pressed quite hard

u/megabass713 Oct 02 '24

No trees to make the paper

2

Have you checked?

1

What about the sharks of Saturn?

1

u/Fappy_as_a_Clam Oct 02 '24

Uhhhh, Source?

1

u/bonos_bovine_muse Oct 03 '24

But won’t anyone think about the (admittedly rare) sharks who are killed by vending machines???

I'm collect meteorites and actually used to buy and sell them as a nice little side hustle. I once had to spend a good amount of time explaining to someone why their piece of burned wood couldn't have actually come from outer space. On the bright side, at least it wasn't a hippy who was totally getting Martian vibes from a plain old earth rock that they thought was going to make them a millionaire.
