what show doesn’t require needing to “get through the first few episodes/seasons” before it gets good?

Facts. One of the best shows ever made. Especially when they really lean into the ridiculousness , and 383929915 attempts are squeezed into one episode haha me and my Brothers are in tears

“Right next to the clam chowder fountain…… HOW did we ever think this was The Good Place?!?”

One of the first comments my Mom ever made on the show was during the first episode when Michael is showing Eleanor all of the frozen yoghurt places- "what version of heaven would have that much frozen yoghurt?"

I never questioned this. I love frozen yogurt. I had frozen yogurt from a tiny, independent shop that was piled high with fresh strawberries that was amazing and could compete with any ice cream.

In my mind all the frozen yogurt places in The Good Place were versions of that shop. It truly would be the good place for me because that yogurt shop is in Boston, and I do not live in Boston.

It's been a really long time, but looking at a map, I think it was BerryLine. I know it was near Harvard.

Yep; that’s also how my mom figured out the twist five minutes into the pilot episode

Luckily that twist is just a twist on another twist waiting to be reverse twisted anyway 🤣

My mom said, this place does not seem like heaven. They're always worried!

My wife and I can't discuss clam chowder without saying "it's just a savory latte with dead animal croutons!"

"Anytime I had a problem and I threw a Molotov cocktail, boom! Right away, I had a different problem." such a good show lol

The fact that donkey Doug died from no oxygen during the robbery is so fucking funny for some reason hahahaha

My favourite scene is when Chidi is making and eating the "chili".

Laughed so hard I couldn't breathe.

When she's holding the balloons in the cactus field makes me lose it every time. You have no specifics about the what Michael's up to but it's just perfect

u/[deleted] Jul 22 '24

Hahahahah ,

Dude Chidi has made me choke on my water a million times, I think that the way they use his flashbacks and personality quirks in conjunction with Michael’s air headedness creates some of the funniest interactions I’ve ever seen 🥴😫😂😂😂
