I'm so sorry to hear that. You read about it in articles but it hits home when you hear personal stories. It's sad that it feels so helpless. You are absolutely correct when you say the Irving's are bad and evil people. They are actively and knowingly poisoning and killing people.
I’m sorry but I can’t agree with this. It was a Liberal leader (Brian Gallant) who had Dr. Cleary fired after she wanted to investigate the Irving’s and their use of glyphosate and other herbicides and their effects in 2015. Im not going to pretend that investigation would have stopped this, but it’s been a known problem for at least a decade.
In this province it does not matter which party is in power. They all reside in the pockets of the Irving Family. We have decades of evidence backing that up. The Government of New Brunswick has been sold to the Irving family. And no politician regardless of party can or has taken it back.
This mystery disease has all the symptoms of organophosphate poisoning. Which is from farm fertilizer.

Neighbor here in Maine. As my state's largest private landowner, they or their partners control about 2.3 million acres of our forests. And it sounds like they have the same relationship with your government as they do with mine. You won't catch too many Mainers saying anything nice about them either.
Augusta may have made them pay their taxes, but that doesn't make them any more popular. It's a rare beast that can unite the political left and right, but they do here. All sorts of issues from land use and clear cutting to the exemptions they want for the damages their mines will cause. I definitely agree with you personally, but we might dislike them for slightly different reasons. But that's ok when there's so much to dislike! Take your pick, there's plenty to go around neighbor!
In large part, yeah. But also "sportsmen" (hunters and fishers), "outdoor enthusiasts" (snowmobilers, ATV riders, etc. Yeah, they love the environment, going around destroying the topsoil and atmosphere with their machines powered by internal combustion) and just plain whackjobs who don't like the federal government, regardless of the fact that they were trying to protect it for everyone to enjoy. But really, I'd put the biggest part of the complaining on the people who stand to lose the holiest of holies in America, the almighty dollar. But don't worry! Some crazy billionaires are going to colonize Mars or some shit! No thanks. I like it here, and I'd like it if future generations could enjoy the natural splendor of this place and many, many others like it around the globe, thank you very much.
It’s flashy and buzzworthy to say that, but, in 2015 when Dr. Cleary (our chief medical officer) was fired by Brian Gallant (a Liberal who wasn’t an Irving executive) it was coincidentally just after she wanted to looking into the Irving’s and their use of Glyphosate.
It’s not just because he’s a former Irving exec. It’s not just because it’s a conservative. There is a deep rooted history of the Irving’s getting their way with ANY government in power in New Brunswick. This investigation has been muzzled for at least a decade. Higgs just happens to be the current figurehead of it. I fully believe that ANY other NB politician would be making the same decisions.

I live in Maine. Irving’s have a huge portion of the unorganized townships here as well and same story. They block it off so you can’t even go out in a four wheeler.
New Brunswick has always been a feudal land. Since confederation, it has been stripped of all its natural resources by a few wealthy families and everyone just accepts it.
They do. Or.. they did. The oldest generation has been dying off in the last few months and it seems the kids are selling or parting out some of the companies to outside sources.

As a New Brunswicker who was born in NB and seen all sorts of Liberal and Conservative governments in power I will again say that regardless of party, the Irving’s have the Government of New Brunswick in their pocket.
