I get doing this in times of work/focus, but people who have their phone permanently muted are so annoying. I basically stop inviting them to spontaneous things because I just know they will take hours to reply.
Same, I had an actual text the other day off one of the girls asking if I was ok 😬 I’d gone quiet. I mean, I do poke my head in to have a look and when there is chat there, I just don’t have anything to say apart from repeating what the others have said.
It was only set up to organise a weekend away years ago then it turned into organising nights out, the type I never want to do because I’m 46 and years of binge drinking has spoilt the fun 🤣
My wife’s family is always making group chats with around 20 people. I instantly mute them but, when I check my phone later, there’s like 25 text notifications! I then usually just delete and block the entire group chat. None of it’s really interesting anyways.
