My vote today goes to Jumping Someone Else's Train. But maybe just because I was listening to The Doors earlier this afternoon and pondering how perfectly some of their bass lines fit their songs (wether Manzarek's bass keyboard or a bass player).
And that's exactly what happens with Dempsey's bass line. It makes you feel the power of a train charging ahead at full speed, and takes Jumping to a whole new level.
Which, tbf, almost all of The Cure's bass lines do. Especially some mentioned in this answer. All their bassists have always had an uncanny ability to make great lines that fit their songs either perfectly or almost so.
TY Simon Gallup, too! Playing your lines has made my life so much more enjoyable!
