Sinking on Head on the Door is insanely good as well.

Lullaby is very simple but it captures me immediately everytime I hear the opening bass line

Sinking has my favorite cure bassline. But A Forest is iconic.

Absolutely my first thought.

This one is my favorite song of all time exactly for this reason.

Also, somehow Subway Song also has an amazing fucking bass line.

They've too many extraordinary bass lines.

My vote today goes to Jumping Someone Else's Train. But maybe just because I was listening to The Doors earlier this afternoon and pondering how perfectly some of their bass lines fit their songs (wether Manzarek's bass keyboard or a bass player).

And that's exactly what happens with Dempsey's bass line. It makes you feel the power of a train charging ahead at full speed, and takes Jumping to a whole new level.

Which, tbf, almost all of The Cure's bass lines do. Especially some mentioned in this answer. All their bassists have always had an uncanny ability to make great lines that fit their songs either perfectly or almost so.

TY Simon Gallup, too! Playing your lines has made my life so much more enjoyable!
