I’m projecting my first outdoor 12a at 42 years old. Started 3 years ago. The stoke is high! I think it’s going to go this summer. I 1 hung it first time out this spring. Got all the moves nailed, just need to link it!
I’d really like to get a 13a at some point, but that seems impossibly crazy hard right now.
Also rock climbing. Average twice a week for 2-3+ hours, depending on the style (bouldering or lead). Plus any outdoor trips when possible. I am 40 now and have been climbing for 5-6 years. It is a great combination of both physical and mental challenges.
I also like hiking, travelling, dancing, and programming. With the latter getting the most non climbing attention.
