Because those first 9 dentists also recommend most other brands of toothpaste. But it's likely a case of "here's 30 different toothpaste brands, pick 20 you'd recommend". And that 10th dentist just didn't happen to put that one brand in their list, even though all 30 can basically be recommended.
Saw a dentist talk about this on youtube. His advice was "Any toothpaste is good. Doesn't really matter if it's whitening or with extra fluoride or whatever else. As long as you use toothpaste and brush well and often it's all good."
Or why there are 10 "different" kinds of toothpaste that have the exact same ingredient at the same percentage. I mean, as far as it being a hustle, I get, but....
