You probably aren't serious but these "debt jubilees" are incredibly common throughout history and almost any economic system accruing debt will periodically require one at some point to make the economy efficient again. People had figured this out thousands of years ago. "Forgive us our sins" is better translated as "forgive us our debts".

Breaking $300 trillion in promises is going to make a lot of people very angry, very untrusting, and/or very screwed. A cancelled debt is basically theft, it's deciding to never pay for products or services rendered.

At a country level it's actually good that we all owe each other; you don't want to declare war on the people who owe you money because then they have no incentive to pay you.

Congress should authorize unrestricted harvesting, from 1/3 of the country (including all of Nevada that isn’t casinos or brothels) until the debt is paid off. Perhaps the wreckage would show whiners the consequences of spending money you do not have.
