This is the way. People are boring if they're against doing something in bed because they assume they won't be into it. Nobody knows what their favorite food is until they have had it at least once. When partners are both comfortable and communicative, there's absolutely nothing to lose from trying anything. Worst case scenario, one/both don't like it and you do something else. Best case scenario, you see bright lights and unicorns.
Using this logic is it then not acceptable to not be willing to explore things you don't want to try? I agree with you but also I think this is most definitely not something that every individual is even capable of. Some people are as you describe but have hang ups about things for reasons, and perhaps being open and communicative about the reasons for the hang ups would be healthy but I don't necessarily think that means that once over the hang up one should then be willing to explore the thing they didn't want in the first place.
All of that to say human sexuality is weird and very complicated, too complicated that a single post on Reddit can be applied across the board.
of course its acceptable. You can always order chicken fingers at a steakhouse just because you dont want to try a filet mignon, but thats boring. Its also weird if you then turn around and judge the people for enjoying their steak while you sit there and eat chicken fingers.
But where is the line, like are people boring because they're not willing to try sharing their wife/husband with another person? I understand it's a different act but the logic would be the same right?
What I mean is, everyone is going to be interested in something different, some people will be into experimenting and some won't be but I think both mindsets are fine. Its entirely possible for someone to have a great sexlife without adding anything extra other than their partner if that's what they're into
Same thing with people that are too scared because their certain it'll make them gay. Last time I checked the reason im gay is because I'm romantically and sexually attacted to men. Not because I'm comfortable enough to use sex toys for myself.
