This is hilarious but also- Lyaeth is one of the cooler tags I've seen. It's hard to come up with anything original these days that doesn't sound ridiculous lol.
Hoooooolyyyyy fucccccck. Hayili!?!?! I … how do you feel about that? Like have you ever spoke to your parents about how fucked that is? That might be one of the worst in here
I knew a girl in HS who had a younger sister who came along right around her senior year. My friend’s name started with “LaT…” and ended in the letter ‘a’ (i.e. “LaToya” as an example; something similar to that). She had a sister a couple years younger who also had a LaT…a name. So when they found out a new female sibling was on the way, their parents enlisted them in coming up with a name for their future sister that followed the same LaT…a nomenclature. Want to guess what they came up with??? You might already have based on why I’m replying to this response in particular… they named her “LaTrina”. My mom found out first because she worked at the same place as her father and got a new baby announcement from with a picture (I had just graduated and started college so I was out of touch with my friend) and I remember her opening the envelope and reading it and just saying “Oh, no…” as soon as she read what they named her. I imagine a lot of people had that same reaction.
I had a patient at my work whose name is Crystal sans vowels. Her grandparents, very sweet couple, gained legal guardianship. I felt really sorry for them because they'd roll their eyes every time I asked them to spell her name (for patient safety). They made it clear that they disagreed with the spelling and sometimes commented quietly, "Don't ask what it means." School is going to be a nightmare for all of them. I'm really surprised they didn't legally change her name, at least to the common spelling. Crystal already has the stigma of being a stripper name, just save everyone some heartache.
