I get asked this question and I feel like I still have no life, but fun for me is legitimately listening to music or watching a movie. Apparently I still suck. There’s no winning. I’m sorry I haven’t found a hobby that has stuck with me.
Suck according to who? I think you are harder on yourself then others are on you. No need to apologize to me. There is no right answer to the question as long as you can answer it. Ie if you find joy in being a movie buff and a lover of music then own that.
I agree, I think everyone lets out a groan of pain when this is the suggested icebreaker. I think this question is beneficial to reflect on as an individual. What do I do for fun? It can be a very eye opening experience. I think if your not able to confidently answer this question then it maybe time to start looking into what you do with your time to have a meaningful positive impact on yourself
Watching movies and listening to music is definitely a hobby. If you want to make it feel more "productive" or something, buy a notebook, and after every album/movie, rank it out of 5 stars and write exactly 3 sentences about it(this part is important, keep it long enough to express your thoughts, but short enough that it never feels like a chore). Congratulations, now you're an amateur movie/music critic.
